Annapolis Royal Hires New CAO
On May 23, the Town of Annapolis Royal announced the appointment of Carol St-Amour as its new Chief Administrative Officer.
Ms. St-Amour comes to Annapolis Royal with nearly twenty-five years' experience working in municipal governments and public administration across Canada. She has a background in finance, administration, and intergovernmental affairs, including a degree in Political Science.
“We are confident that Carol is the right person for our community at this time. She has the skills to help us develop our community in a positive way, while still protecting our unique heritage and culture , says Mayor Phil Roberts.
The Town of Annapolis Royal recently agreed to change the Chief Administrative Officer position to part-time as part of its strategy to reduce expenditures in light of its reduced revenues. Despite this, Mayor Roberts notes, "We are committed to using our community's assets to the best advantage while respecting the unique character and history that our people have built over the past 400 years.”
