UNSM's Gas Tax Fund Project Spotlights Highlighting Best Practices and Innovation in Nova Scotia's Municipalities

UNSM is pleased to release its first two Federal Gas Tax Fund (GTF) Project Spotlights for:

  • Cape Breton Regional Municipality’s Grand Lake Multi-Use Path: An Active Transportation Project;
  • Municipality of the County of Colchester’s Compost Handing Facility Project

These project spotlights can be found on UNSM’s website at: http://www.unsm.ca/project-spotlights.html

As part of the support UNSM is providing to Department of Municipal Affairs to administer the 2014-24 GTF agreement, it is developing a number of project spotlights to highlight best practices and innovation in our municipalities. The project spotlights are meant to raise the profile of local GTF initiatives and recognize the value and benefits these municipal projects provide to their communities.

If you have a GTF project you would like to propose as a project spotlight, please contact Debbie Nielsen at UNSM ( or (902) 423-8312).
